Border guards honored the memory of their fallen comrades who died while protecting state borders with a requiem rally.

The event organized by the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic gathered veterans of the border service, officers, and personnel of the agency, as well as the chairman of the State Border Service, Abdikarim Alimbaev.

The rally began with the laying of wreaths at the graves of the fallen defenders of the border.

A prayer was said in memory of the deceased, after which the participants honored their memory with a moment of silence.

The rally concluded with the laying of flowers at the monument symbolizing the courage of border guards who gave their lives for the safety and sovereignty of the country.

Captain in reserve Sultanbek uulu Mirbek, recently awarded the title of "Ata-Meken Batyr" for heroism and selflessness in border protection service, was present at the event.
