According to a statement from the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bakyt Torobaev, who also served as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, has been relieved of his duties.
This personnel change occurred against the backdrop of a scandal that has been actively discussed in the media. An audio recording surfaced on social media in which Torobaev's nephew bitterly recounts to his uncle the loss of his business — an asphalt concrete plant. In this conversation, the name of Tai-Muras Tashiev, the son of the head of the State Committee for National Security, was mentioned, who was allegedly involved in the "seizure" of this enterprise.
In response to the accusations, Tai-Muras Tashiev quickly reacted, categorically denying all allegations. He noted that the transaction for the acquisition of the land plot in Jalal-Abad was legal, and the information being spread is an attempt to discredit him.
Bakyt Torobaev also confirmed that the conversation with his nephew did indeed take place, but emphasized that it was a personal dialogue and urged not to view the situation in a political light.
