
The UN General Assembly marked the fourth anniversary of the start of hostilities in Ukraine by adopting a resolution aimed at supporting peace. This was reported by sources in the UN.
107 countries expressed support for the document, while 12 countries voted against it, and 51, including Kyrgyzstan, the USA, and China, chose to abstain from voting.
The adopted resolution emphasizes the need to respect the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Despite proposals from the USA, Canada, the European Union, and Ukraine, they did not agree to vote on an alternative draft.
The resolution received approval from the majority of European countries, as well as Canada, Japan, Australia, South Korea, and several countries from Latin America and Africa.
12 countries voted against it, including Russia, Belarus, Syria, North Korea, Eritrea, and Iran.
Among those who abstained were 51 countries, including Kyrgyzstan, the USA, China, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Singapore, Slovakia, and others.
