With the arrival of warm weather, the active period for the use of electric scooters, bicycles, and short-term rentals has officially begun in Bishkek. In this regard, an emergency meeting was held at the city hall under the leadership of Ilyas Kolopov, where representatives of kick-sharing companies gathered.
The main topic of discussion was ensuring that the operations of these services comply with current legislation and traffic rules. Municipal authorities demanded that operators immediately regulate the use of personal mobility devices on the streets of the capital.
The city leadership strongly recommended that companies enhance control over users. As one of the key measures, strict sanctions for violators will be introduced: users may face temporary or even lifetime bans on their accounts in the applications for violating traffic rules.
The Bishkek City Hall urges residents and visitors to the city to demonstrate maximum responsibility and adhere to safety measures. Creating a culture of mutual respect on the roads and sidewalks of Bishkek remains an important task for the city authorities.
