On his social media pages, Bolot Temirov announced that his complaint has been registered with the UN Human Rights Committee. He specified that questions regarding his case have been sent to the current authorities of Kyrgyzstan, and a response is expected by August 26, 2026.

It should be noted that the complaint was prepared by a team of lawyers who provided Temirov with free legal assistance. The 47-page document contains more than 100 points, in which, according to the plaintiff, evidence of violations of his international rights is presented.

The complaint addresses issues of fair trial, the right to citizenship, freedom from arbitrary detention, and freedom of speech.

Recall that on January 22, 2022, Bolot Temirov was arrested on suspicion of illegal manufacture and possession of drugs. The day before, on January 21, he published an investigation about the "Tashiev clan." On April 20, three more criminal cases were brought against him, including two cases of illegal acquisition of citizenship and one case of illegal border crossing.

In September 2022, the Sverdlov District Court of Bishkek acquitted Temirov of the charge of "Possession of drugs without intent to sell" and the case of illegal border crossing. However, he was found guilty of document forgery but did not receive a penalty due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

At the appeal on November 23, 2022, the Bishkek City Court upheld the first-instance decision but ordered the deportation of Temirov, who holds citizenship of both Russia and Kyrgyzstan, as an additional punishment for document forgery. The execution of the decision was carried out immediately: Temirov was taken out of the courtroom and delivered to the airport, from where he was sent to Moscow.

At present, Bolot Temirov continues his journalistic activities outside the country.
