One user reported that machinery at the construction site has left the site and headed to Bishkek.
However, the JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" denied these claims, noting that the work has only been temporarily halted due to heavy rains that are hindering earthworks.
Additionally, the State National Security Committee (GKNB) has also taken an interest in this situation. The agency identified the person who spread the information about the suspension of construction.
It was reported that during operational search activities, the author of the video recording was identified — a resident of the Suzak district, born in 1994, who admitted his guilt and explained that he had no malicious intent in disseminating the material.
An explanatory conversation was held with him.
According to JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," the new two-story terminal will be able to serve more than 350 passengers per hour and will occupy an area of 10,000 square meters, offering a high level of comfort and service. The aerodrome infrastructure will fully comply with international standards: a runway of 3,800 meters in length, two taxiways, and six aircraft parking spots.
It is worth noting that for the construction of the international airport in the Jalal-Abad region and the Suzak district, lands totaling 371.18 hectares, which were previously classified as agricultural land, including irrigated fields, forests, fruit orchards, and mulberry trees, have been transformed. Local residents still refer to this area as the village of Lenin.
