Deputy Dastan Bekeshev announced the upcoming sessions of the Jogorku Kenesh, where several bills will be considered. The parliamentarian informed his followers via Telegram.

He noted that a bill concerning amendments to the Constitutional Law on the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic will be discussed in its second reading. This initiative proposes to reduce the number of auditors from 9 to 3.

Dastan Bekeshev expressed his support for this proposal, stating that he raised the need to reduce the number of auditors several years ago.

“I support this initiative, as I have been saying since 2017 that the Accounts Chamber has become a source of personnel for political parties, and the number of auditors needs to be reduced. The President has also put forward this initiative,” he added.

At the same time, the deputy opposed another initiative that involves reducing the composition of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic from 12 to 8 members.

In Bekeshev's opinion, saving the budget by reducing the number of members of the CEC is an incorrect step.

“You cannot save here,” the parliamentarian emphasized.

Additionally, he reported that in the coming days, the parliament will consider and make amendments to a number of other laws, continuing to keep his followers updated through Telegram.
