The Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey held talks in Istanbul


In Istanbul, a meeting took place between Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan, and Hakan Fidan, the head of Turkey's foreign affairs ministry. The talks were held as part of an informal meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Turkic States Organization.

During the discussions, the parties addressed important issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, as well as matters of interaction in international and regional organizations. Special attention was given to mutual support on multilateral diplomatic platforms and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The ministers exchanged views on security issues at both the international and regional levels, including the current situation in the Middle East. The Kyrgyz side also shared information about the evacuation process of its citizens from conflict zones and measures for their safety.

Additionally, Kulubaev spoke about significant international events planned in Kyrgyzstan for 2026, including the celebration of the 35th anniversary of independence and the SCO summit, as well as the Sixth World Nomad Games.

Hakan Fidan, for his part, informed about the upcoming Antalya Diplomatic Forum and invited Kulubaev to participate in its activities, including the possibility of speaking at one of the sessions.

At the end of the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in further developing Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation and activating political dialogue at all levels.
