On March 7, foreign ministers from the countries that are part of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will gather in Istanbul for informal negotiations. The main goal of the meeting is to develop cooperation among the organization's members and discuss relevant regional and international issues. This was reported by Daily Sabah, citing sources in Turkish diplomacy.

The event will be led by Hakan Fidan, Turkey's foreign minister. Participants will include representatives from Azerbaijan, which currently holds the chairmanship in the organization, as well as delegates from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. It is expected that the agenda will cover recent developments within the OTS, as well as discussions on key priorities and steps for the near future.

Additionally, extensive consultations on current global and regional challenges are planned as part of the event. Hakan Fidan also intends to hold bilateral meetings with his colleagues, while Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will receive the heads of delegations.

In his speech, Fidan is likely to emphasize the importance of deepening cooperation among Turkic countries in the context of a complex international situation, as well as issues related to ensuring peace and justice.

He may also call for unity within the Turkic world on issues concerning the cessation of conflicts and attacks affecting various states, highlighting the importance of diplomatic efforts.

Furthermore, the Turkish foreign minister is expected to propose the necessity of preventing the escalation of tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan through peaceful negotiations and dialogue.

It is also possible that Fidan will present Ankara's priorities regarding the new "OTS+" format, aimed at expanding cooperation with third parties within the organization.
