He accused the organizers of promoting LGBT and disrespecting national traditions, pointing out that festival participants allegedly wore chapan and kalpak on bare skin.
However, the organizers of Kolfest stated that the Ministry of Internal Affairs found no grounds to ban the festival, asserting that no evidence of LGBT promotion or drug use was identified at the event.
