Chingiz Aydarbekov, who previously held the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, may once again find himself among the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh. His candidacy is being considered as a possible successor to Khuanychbek Kongantiev, who has submitted a request to voluntarily relinquish his mandate.

Today, the Central Election Commission plans to discuss Kongantiev's request at its meeting. This decision came as a result of the criticism that has been directed at him on social media, where users shared posts and videos regarding the possible assets of the deputy and his entourage. So far, Khuanychbek Kongantiev has not commented on these allegations.

If Kongantiev's powers are terminated early, his seat may be taken by Chingiz Aydarbekov. He already has experience working in the Jogorku Kenesh and was the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the previous government. In the last parliamentary elections, he ran in the Lenin single-mandate district and received 4,872 votes.

Public discussions also raise issues regarding the familial and spiritual ties of Khuanychbek Kongantiev with Kamchybek Tashiev, the former chairman of the State National Security Committee. According to information circulated on social media, the deputy is the godfather of the son of the former head of the special services, Tai-Muras Tashiev.

At the time of publication, there were no official comments from Khuanychbek Kongantiev regarding his decision to relinquish his mandate.
