In the courtroom, there were activists and former colleagues of Mahabat, as well as her mother, who, overwhelmed with strong emotions, was unable to comment on the court's decision.
Mahabat's relatives expressed the opinion that it is still premature to talk about her possible release, which they have been eagerly awaiting. Nevertheless, they view the current developments as a significant step towards restoring justice from the judicial system and the authorities.
Let us remind you that Mahabat Tajibek kyzy was detained in January 2024 along with ten employees of Temirov Live. They were charged with inciting mass riots. On February 25, 2025, the Supreme Court reviewed the appeal of three of the detainees, upholding the sentence: Mahabat was sentenced to six years in prison, Azamat Ishenbekov was sentenced to five years, and Aika Beishikeeva received three years of probation. The court also sentenced Aktilek Kaparov to three years of probation, which he accepted. The other seven were acquitted due to lack of evidence of a crime.
