In the new document, the powers related to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration regarding the regulation of the attraction of foreign workers are clarified.
Among the key changes in the functions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the following can be highlighted:
- regulation of the attraction of foreign workers taking into account the needs of the domestic labor market;
- formation of proposals for annual quotas for foreign employees and their distribution;
- accounting for foreigners and stateless persons who have received permission for labor activity in Kyrgyzstan;
- analysis, monitoring, and forecasting the presence of foreign workers in the country.
In addition, changes have been made to the procedures of the Ministry of Labor, excluding certain provisions related to the attraction of foreign workers and the accounting of foreign specialists.
