According to the new regulations, ethnic Kyrgyz and their families - spouses and minor children who have violated the terms of their stay in Kyrgyzstan - will be able to legalize their situation. To do this, they will need documentary evidence of their ethnic affiliation, as well as the right to a one-time entry with all necessary documents processed within 30 working days after entry.
In addition, the new measures introduce a visa-free regime for tourist groups from China for up to 21 days. For re-entry, a waiting period of 21 days after departure will be required. Residents of Macau and Hong Kong will be able to stay in Kyrgyzstan for up to 30 days, but they also do not have the right to extend their visa or other permits, except in cases justified by force majeure.
The gambling business sector has also seen changes. Foreigners visiting licensed casinos will be able to obtain a short-term visa for up to seven days through a simplified process. This rule will apply to those arriving through Manas Airport or those who process documents via the "Electronic Visa" portal. A list of countries to which this will apply will be approved separately by the relevant authorities.
Furthermore, the resolution establishes the right of foreign citizens arriving without a visa to apply to government agencies for the issuance of documents for temporary stay.
These changes will come into effect ten days after official publication.
