The border service reminded about the rules for Kazakhstani citizens staying in Kyrgyzstan.

Starting from September 1, 2025, new rules for citizens of Kazakhstan regarding their stay in Kyrgyzstan have come into effect, as reported by the press service of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Main changes:Now, citizens of Kazakhstan can stay in Kyrgyzstan for up to 90 days within a 180-day period, starting from the date of their first entry. This approach aligns with international practices and helps to streamline migration processes.

With each border crossing, previous days of stay will be counted rather than canceled. The period will reset only after 90 days spent outside of Kyrgyzstan.

During the first 30 days, citizens of Kazakhstan are not required to register. If they plan to stay in Kyrgyzstan longer than this period, registration becomes mandatory.

If a citizen of Kazakhstan stays in Kyrgyzstan for more than 90 days without registration, they will be denied entry for 90 days.
