During a conversation with journalists, Donald Trump expressed the opinion that his initiative, the "Board of Peace," could potentially become an alternative to the United Nations in the future. However, he emphasized the importance of preserving the UN itself. As reported by the Associated Press, this statement was made during a press conference with the President of the United States.

In response to questions from the media about a new format for international cooperation, Trump noted that he could take on the tasks of a global peacekeeping mechanism. Nevertheless, he also pointed out that the UN has significant potential and should continue its activities.

"Board of Peace" — an international organization proposed by Donald Trump, aimed at ensuring stability, restoring governance, and achieving sustainable peace in conflict zones.

Initially presented as part of a peace plan for the Gaza Strip, it is now viewed as a broader initiative that extends beyond a single conflict.

Trump announced the "Board of Peace" in September 2025, and its official establishment was declared in January 2026.

According to media reports, invitations to participate were sent to approximately 60 countries, but the final composition of the board has yet to be determined.
