
Feridun Sinirlioğlu, the Secretary General of the OSCE, is set to visit the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. This information emerged during a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Meder Abakirov, and the head of the OSCE Program Office in the country, Volker Frobarth.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issues of cooperation between the republic and the OSCE were discussed, and key areas of work for 2026 were identified.
Additionally, the participants of the meeting discussed possible visits to Bishkek by the Director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the Representative on Freedom of the Media. The Kyrgyz side confirmed its readiness to provide full organizational support.
The diplomats also exchanged views on cooperation in border control and strengthening trust-based relations in Central Asia.
