He reminded that the committee had studied the submitted options the day before.
“We analyzed both the text and the melody of the proposed anthems. Unfortunately, none of the projects proved to be worthy. We decided to return them for further development. Our goal is not only to change the anthem but also to ensure that every citizen of Kyrgyzstan, starting from the age of 7, knows and sings it. All the proposed versions resemble a march, and not everyone will be able to perform them. The anthem should be free, like our land. We must abandon the march style characteristic of the Soviet era. The anthem should be such that it can be sung not only at official events but also at celebrations,” noted the Speaker.
He added that the competition for creating a new anthem will continue, and everyone interested will be able to participate.
