On the evening of January 28, around 5:30 PM, two children, A.Z. born in 2016 and K.A. born in 2019, left their home and went missing. At 8:25 PM, their relatives contacted the police, and the minors were declared wanted.
During the search at the scene, an officer from the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department began to suspect that the children might have fallen into a frozen body of water. He tied himself with a rope and attempted to crawl on the ice; however, the ice began to crack beneath him. Soon, rescuers arrived at the scene and were able to retrieve the children. However, according to preliminary information, they had drowned.
An investigative check is currently underway, during which the necessary examinations have been appointed.
