At night in Bishkek, in the 'Bakay-Ata' residential area, the bodies of two missing children were found. A nine-year-old girl and a six-year-old boy met a tragic fate.
The children's parents turned to social media for help in the search. The children went out to play around 5:00 PM and did not return home. Neighbors, relatives, and local residents participated in the search.
Police officers and representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene around 9:00 PM and began search and rescue operations. By midnight, the bodies of the children were found in one of the nearby bodies of water. Preliminary data indicates that the cause of death was drowning.
Local residents reported that the children often played near this body of water, including skating on the ice. According to them, this body of water was previously used as a ash dump, which poses additional dangers for children.
Law enforcement agencies are working at the scene of the tragedy, conducting necessary examinations, and clarifying all circumstances of the incident. An investigative check is underway.
The police urge parents to pay special attention to the safety of their children and not to leave them unattended, especially near potentially dangerous places.
