In the Fergana region, law enforcement officers prevented an attempt to smuggle powerful psychotropic substances that were imported from Kyrgyzstan. During the operation, a local resident was arrested, who was found to have nearly 3,000 tablets containing psychotropic substances, as reported by the publication Podrobno.uz.

According to information from the State Security Service, the operation took place in the city of Kokand. Police stopped a Gentra car in which the detainee, born in 1994, was traveling.

During the search, 2,797 tablets of the potent drug "Regapen" were found in his belongings. The investigation established that this drug was imported into the country illegally. A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee, and he has been placed in custody as a preventive measure.
