
According to police data, on December 6, 2000, a criminal case was initiated against a resident of the Talas district named K.K., born in 1972, under Article 129, Part 1 "Rape" (as per the 1997 edition). On December 11 of the same year, the district prosecutor's office decided to detain him and announced him wanted.
Later, the case was reclassified under Article 154, Part 2, Clause 3 "Rape accompanied by a threat of violence dangerous to life or health." Thus, the man had been wanted since February 18, 2000, and he had been hiding for over 20 years.

Thanks to international cooperation, the Talas District Police Department was able to establish the whereabouts of the wanted individual. In June 2024, he was detained in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Following his arrest, the extradition process began.
On February 1, 2026, K.K. was brought to Kyrgyzstan, where he was handed over to investigative authorities and placed in a temporary detention facility in Talas.
Currently, investigative activities are ongoing in the case.
