The society criticized the methods of "education"
A physical education teacher in the Issyk-Kul region struck four eighth-grade students during a lesson. This incident, captured on video and spread on social media, sparked a wave of criticism from the public, dissatisfied with the use of corporal punishment.
According to information from the regional police department, an investigation was initiated following a complaint from one of the parents who filed a statement. The incident occurred on January 28 at a secondary school in the village of Chyrak around 11:00 AM. The teacher, J.K., born in 1996, called four students to the board during a religious studies lesson and, as he claimed, "with the intention of educating," struck them with his hands.
Examinations were appointed to assess the presence of bodily injuries; however, the parents of the students stated that they had no claims against the teacher. As a result, the teacher was held accountable in accordance with paragraph 56 of the Code of Offenses.
