Struck Schoolchildren. PE Teacher at Issyk-Kul Held Accountable for Assault
On January 28 of this year, the father of one of the students, residing in the village of Chyrak, filed a report with the Jetiy-Oguz district police department, stating that his son and his classmates had been subjected to violence by the physical education teacher J.K. during class.
Following the registration of the report, preliminary investigative actions were initiated.
As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that on the same day at around 11:00 AM, in the secondary school of the village of Chyrak, during a religious studies lesson, the teacher J.K., born in 1996, called four eighth graders to the board and struck them with the aim of discipline.
A forensic medical examination was appointed to determine the presence of bodily injuries among the affected students. However, the children's parents later stated that they had no claims against the teacher and refused to conduct the examination, submitting a new statement.
As a result, a criminal case was not initiated. However, J.K. was held accountable under Article 56 "Beatings" of the Code of Offenses.
This article stipulates that "the infliction of beatings or other violent actions that cause physical pain, if they do not contain qualifying features of a criminal offense, shall entail mandatory work for up to 40 hours or arrest for a period of three to seven days."
