In Kyrgyzstan, artists and bloggers have made an urgent appeal to the public to remain vigilant in order to avoid falling into the traps set by cybercriminals.

According to the stars, every day in Bishkek, between 20 to 30 people become victims of internet fraud. Their statement emphasizes that cybercrimes not only lead to financial losses but can also negatively impact family budgets, parents' pensions, and children's futures.

The artists highlighted three key reasons contributing to the increase in fraud cases. The first is the sale of bank cards and SIM cards by young people. The second reason is citizens clicking on suspicious links. The third is the belief in easy earnings and investing money in dubious ventures.

Citizens were particularly warned about one of the most popular scams used by fraudsters. They call and introduce themselves as law enforcement officers or bank representatives, frightening people with the loss of money and demanding that they transfer funds "for verification."

The appeal also notes that real government officials will never request money transfers over the phone. In the event of receiving such a call, citizens are urged to immediately end the conversation and contact the police at number 102.

Special attention was given to the youth. Citizens were warned that handing over their bank cards to third parties makes them accomplices to a crime. Using such cards, loans can be taken out, and illegal financial transactions can be conducted, which carries legal consequences under Kyrgyzstan's legislation.
