According to the police, the accident occurred on February 7 at around 03:00 on the Kara-Suu—Kara-Küngöy highway. At the time of the accident, there were three tenth-graders from the N. Jündübaeva secondary school in the car "Kia K5": E.D., Ö.K., and A.K. While their parents were in the city, the teenagers took the car without permission.
They were driving at high speed from the village of Kara-Saz towards Kochkor when the incident occurred. The car flew off the road, crashed into a ditch, and overturned. As a result of the rollover, two schoolboys were thrown out of the car, while the driver remained inside. He managed to get out and called for an ambulance.
According to Erlan Emilov, head of the Kochkor district outpatient clinic, the injured arrived at the intensive care unit in serious condition, unconscious, between 03:00 and 03:30. Necessary medical assistance was provided.
“Unfortunately, at 04:30 both teenagers passed away. The third, E.D., born in 2010, was taken to a hospital in Jalal-Abad (Bishkek) in serious condition, where he is currently receiving treatment in the neurosurgery department,” he added.
- Ö.K. and A.K., both born in 2009, died.
- E.D. was sent to Bishkek in serious condition.
“At the moment, the causes of the incident are under investigation by the relevant authorities. Additional information will be provided upon the conclusion of the investigation,” the district police reported.
