According to information provided by the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region, employees of the service for combating extremism and illegal migration conducted operational activities, as a result of which citizens engaged in the distribution of banned extremist materials through social networks were detained.
Expert examination confirmed that the detainees posted and distributed materials related to extremist and terrorist groups on social networks.
Based on the collected evidence and the results of the examination, a criminal case was initiated under Article 332 of the Criminal Code ("Production and Distribution of Extremist Materials"), and investigative actions have begun.
During the operational-search activities, two individuals were detained: D.G., born in 1994, and Y.B., born in 1999. The court has decided to place them in custody.
Currently, further investigative actions are being conducted to identify other participants in this crime.
