According to the press service of the capital's Internal Affairs Directorate, a citizen D.B. reported to the police that on October 5, 2025, at 18:00, he left his Kia Picanto in the yard of a house on Togolok Moldо Street and then left for Karakol. Upon returning on October 9, 2025, he discovered that his car was missing.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 211 (theft of a vehicle) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detained individual was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek Internal Affairs Directorate.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the stolen vehicle had been sold for 80,000 soms, and the suspect spent the money on personal needs. Currently, the Kia Picanto has been found and included in the case as physical evidence.
Operational measures are ongoing to identify other individuals involved in this crime, as well as to check for any possible connection of the detainee to similar crimes.
