Border guards in Batken prevented the illegal export of 10 calves across the border
Employees of the Batken border detachment prevented an attempt to illegally export cattle. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Service (SBS).

According to the agency, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, born in 1988, was detained in the vicinity of the village of Ak-Tatyr. In his Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicle, there were 10 calves. The man intended to transport the animals to a neighboring country, bypassing official checkpoints.

The border guards delivered the detainee and the animals to the SBS unit, where necessary investigative actions are currently being carried out and documents are being processed.

The State Border Service reminds that there are serious penalties for violating the border and illegally transporting goods or animals in accordance with the legislation.

Additionally, there is a ban on the export of livestock in Kyrgyzstan, introduced to stabilize meat prices in the domestic market.
