The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is closely monitoring the developments at the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. This was reported on the official CSTO website.

The statement emphasizes that the organization places great importance on peace and stability in this region, believing that the only correct way to resolve the conflict is through a political and diplomatic approach.

Recently, accusations were made in Islamabad against the Taliban forces, which allegedly opened fire at the Pakistani border. In response, Pakistani security forces took action.

Additionally, the Afghan command announced its strikes on Pakistani territory in retaliation for recent airstrikes by Islamabad. It is worth noting that on February 22, Pakistani military attacked border Afghan areas, according to officials, resulting in the deaths of at least 70 militants. However, Kabul denied this information, stating that among the dead were many civilians, including women and children.

The length of the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan is 2,600 kilometers.
