On March 24, 2026, in the Kyrgyz Republic, as part of regular preventive measures to combat religious extremism and non-traditional religious movements, an explanatory event was held regarding active participants of the religious extremist group "Yakyn-Inkar." This was reported by the State National Security Service (GKNB).

As a result of these preventive measures, 27 members of the aforementioned group publicly renounced their radical ideals. Previously, these individuals had been involved in extremist activities and actively spread ideologies that are prohibited in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, as reported by the GKNB.

“These citizens realized the erroneous nature of their choice in the religious sphere, acknowledged the harmfulness of their beliefs, and expressed regret about it. They declared their readiness to comply with the laws and regulations of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as to follow the decisions of the Council of Ulema and the requirements of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK). In addition, they urged other citizens not to succumb to the illegal calls of the members of the extremist group 'Yakyn-Inkar,' stating that the functioning of this organization in the country is unacceptable,” noted the GKNB.

The GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to actively work on identifying and suppressing the activities of the extremist group "Yakyn-Inkar," as well as conducting preventive measures aimed at preventing the involvement of new adherents in the ranks of banned religious extremist groups and movements.

The GKNB also warned citizens about the possible criminal liability for participating in the activities of extremist and terrorist organizations banned in the Kyrgyz Republic.
