According to Turmush, the incident took place on March 27, 2026, around 3:00 PM. The driver of a "Mercedes-Benz E420," born in 1987 and known as M.D.B., was traveling east on the highway. At the same time, another motorist, M.U.E., born in 1979, was behind the wheel of a "Volkswagen Passat" and was making a left turn off the road.
In an attempt to avoid a collision with the "Volkswagen," the driver of the "Mercedes" made a sharp maneuver, which caused him to cross the median barrier into oncoming traffic. As a result, a head-on collision occurred with a "Renault Samsung SM6," driven by J.K.A., born in 1988.
Unfortunately, both drivers — the one driving the "Mercedes-Benz E420" and the driver of the "Renault Samsung SM6" — died at the scene from their injuries. Currently, efforts are underway to identify the deceased and count the number of injured.
The incident has been registered with the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region. Investigative authorities have initiated the necessary examinations, and measures are ongoing to clarify all circumstances and causes of this tragedy.
