The State Committee for National Security reports violations by a lawyer
Lawyer Rustam Isaev has been detained as part of an investigation into a case related to the activities of pawnshops, according to information published by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
Previously, in the same case, Manas Sultanov, who is the owner of an entire network of pawnshops, was arrested. He is suspected of fraud and extortion of property.
According to the GKNB, Sultanov, pursuing his selfish interests, engaged in illegal activities aimed at profiting from citizens in difficult financial situations. He provided them with money at high interest rates and onerous conditions, which put people in a dependent position and deprived them of the ability to fulfill their obligations on time, as a result of which he illegally appropriated movable and immovable property of clients.
Sultanov also applied pressure and intimidation, hindering citizens from seeking protection of their rights and legal interests.
To carry out his fraudulent scheme, he involved Rustam Isaev, his partner and lawyer.
According to GKNB representatives, with Isaev's involvement, there were instances of blackmail and extortion of property from the heads of construction companies LLC "Expert Stroy" and LLC "Arz Development." Isaev, possessing legal knowledge, advised Sultanov and assisted in the unjust limitation of property rights on construction sites, as well as threatened representatives of these companies and shareholders to coerce them into transferring property.
According to GKNB data, as a result of illegal activities, 89 shareholders of the residential complex "Silk Road," the companies LLC "Expert Stroy" and LLC "Arz Development," as well as a number of citizens who used the services of pawnshops, were harmed.
The detained lawyer has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB, and investigative actions are ongoing.
