As the police officers found out, citizen S.I. attempted to exert illegal influence on an employee of the investigative department by offering him a monetary reward to avoid criminal liability in a case that is currently under review.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 345 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational measures conducted by the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, citizen S.I., born in 1973, was detained at the moment of handing over a bribe of 100,000 soms in the office of the Investigative Department of the Bazar-Korgon Department of Internal Affairs.
After the detention, the suspect was interrogated and placed in a temporary detention facility.
