As part of a criminal case initiated under Article 343 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Bribery Extortion"), on January 13, police captain Zh.A.Z. from the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District was detained. This occurred at the moment he was receiving 150,000 soms, with the support of the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The detainee has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation believes that he demanded a bribe to terminate a criminal case.
The case is currently under investigation.
