On January 23, in the village of Maevka, located in Bishkek, employees of the Public Security Service of the GOM-8 of the First Mai District Police Department conducted an operation aimed at curbing illegal trade in petroleum products (PP).

During the raid on Molodaya Gvardiya Street, several trading points were identified. Some of the sellers were selling gasoline from cars in plastic containers.

In one of the Lexus LX470 vehicles, the police found containers with a volume of 10 liters, completely filled with PP. The driver, despite his apologies and promises not to break the law again, was detained and taken to the police station, where a report was drawn up and a fine of 3000 soms was imposed. In addition, the officers confiscated the gasoline, and the local court will decide what to do with the illegally found goods.

The police also discovered points of sale for PP in the homes of local residents. One woman, seeing the approaching police "Niva," tried to hide in her house, but the law enforcement officers managed to detain her, confiscate the gasoline, and take her to the police for further investigation.

As representatives of the GOM reported, such raids are conducted regularly.
