Sellers from Kyrgyzstan on the Wildberries platform find themselves in a difficult situation due to sudden changes in working with the Russian market. In the fall, deliveries of goods virtually ceased: shipments were delayed at the border due to new requirements for document processing and taxes in Russia. This led to seasonal goods not reaching warehouses in time, resulting in missed key sales.

For many sellers specializing in textiles and clothing, this resulted in significant financial losses. Many workshops and sellers finished the season with zero profit or even at a loss, unable to quickly redirect their sales to other markets.

Meirim Talantbekova, who has been managing her brand on Wildberries for three years, shared: "The goods we sent at the beginning of the season arrived at the warehouses only in December, when demand had already decreased. Most workshops and sellers were left without profit or even in the red."

In mid-November, a delegation from the Russian Wildberries office visited Kyrgyzstan to clarify the new requirements for working on the platform. However, according to Talantbekova, the problem remains unresolved.

“It was said that solutions might be found by spring, but for now, we are just waiting,” she added.

Arnagül Bolekbayeva, a member of the Association of Marketplaces and the Association of Tailors, noted that there are about 27,000 sellers in Kyrgyzstan working with various marketplaces, and a significant portion of them are on Wildberries. She reported that the company proposed one of the solutions that could simplify the working process for sellers and reduce the risks of delays.

“One of the proposed options is that Wildberries will independently export goods. The warehouse will be located in Kyrgyzstan, and the platform will take care of all the documents and act as a tax agent,” said Arnagül Bolekbayeva.

She added that, according to available information, this option is currently being actively discussed by the platform, but specific timelines are still unknown. “If this mechanism were to work, it would help legalize the flows and avoid delays at the border,” emphasized Arnagül Bolekbayeva.

In a comment to Kaktus.media, representatives of Wildberries stated that they are working on resolving the situation with Kyrgyz sellers.

“We are in the process of developing a new sales model for Kyrgyz sellers. As soon as it is ready, we will definitely inform our partners about it,” the company assured.
