As a result of joint actions by the Rosselkhoznadzor and the FSB, an attempt to illegally export 24 sports horses from Russia to Kyrgyzstan was prevented. The incident occurred at the Russian-Kazakh border near the "Sagarchin" checkpoint, as reported by several Russian media outlets.
The horses, which were part of a herd, were sent from Kabardino-Balkaria to participate in sports competitions. However, crossing the border of the Orenburg region turned out to be impossible for them due to serious violations of veterinary legislation.
In particular, information about the horses was absent in the federal state system "Khorriot." Additionally, the carrier did not carry out the mandatory preventive and anti-epizootic measures that protect both animals and humans from dangerous diseases.
Inspectors identified an insufficient package of veterinary accompanying documents necessary for the safe transportation of animals.
As a result of the inspection, the horses were returned to the place of departure, and administrative penalties were imposed on the carrier.
