The Talas master Emilbek Barpiyev became known for his "smart stove." A correspondent from Turmush spoke with the 65-year-old resident of the village of Cholponbay in the Aitmatov district.

The couple got married in 1989 after meeting through relatives. "We had our wedding in January when it was winter. We have three sons and three daughters, and now we enjoy watching our grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Two daughters and two sons have already started their own families, one son is studying at university, and one daughter lives abroad. We hope they will be happy too. For over 40 years, I have been involved in construction and craftsmanship. I design houses and help with their finishing, making them comfortable to live in. I have received many kind words and blessings from people," Emilbek shared.

According to him, three years ago he took up beekeeping, which became a real revelation for him. "We sell honey for 500 soms per kilogram and eat it ourselves. I advise everyone, especially middle-aged people, to try their hand at this. My daughter posted a video about the 'smart stove' on social media, and it became popular. I want to inspire young people to create something with their own hands," he added.

As for his "smart stove," Emilbek noted that dust rises when ash is removed from the house. "When I built the house, I came up with a design in which I reinforced the stove's base and created an opening that leads outside. I closed it with a metal flap that allows me to open and close the place where the ash is poured out. When the stove is burning, ash accumulates, and it's enough to pull out the flap for it to fall into a pit that we clean from the outside. This keeps the area clean," he explained.
