Imandos Bektenov, representing the national shooting team of Kyrgyzstan, won a silver medal at the Asian Championship. This information was confirmed by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.
The championship, which is taking place in New Delhi, India from February 2 to 14, has gathered 385 athletes from 19 countries.
The competition includes three age categories, and Kyrgyzstan is represented by a team of 16 athletes who are working under the guidance of three coaches. The first day of the tournament showed that two Kyrgyz athletes reached the finals in the 10m Air Pistol event. Askat Tokmokov finished seventh among adults, while Imandos Bektenov took second place among juniors and earned a silver medal.
