Manas Niyazov, the organizer of the alaman ulak, issued a public apology following the tragic incidents that occurred during the event. His comments were made in response to what happened.

Recall that the alaman ulak took place on February 8 on the shores of the Kemper-Abad reservoir in the Uzgen district. During the game, two tragic incidents occurred: one participant fell from a horse into the river and drowned, while in the second case, a car heading to the event site rolled down a slope, and the driver was hospitalized.

The game was part of a festive event—a toya—organized by Manas Niyazov in honor of his sons. Participants were offered several cars, camels, and other livestock as prizes.

Manas Niyazov himself expressed regret over the incidents and appealed to the public for forgiveness.

He noted that the incidents occurred outside the playing area; however, this does not absolve him of responsibility. Niyazov also reported that about 20 hectares were allocated for parking, while the playing area occupied about 50 hectares. The day after the event, the area was cleared by his relatives and friends.

The Federation of alaman ulak previously reported that there were no serious violations of the rules during the event. Despite the tragedies, the tournament concluded according to the planned program.

This event became one of the largest in recent years, gathering thousands of participants from Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries.

Alaman ulak is a mass form of the traditional horse game "kuzduz," held without a strict tournament structure, most often as part of folk celebrations and toya.
