
According to the federation's information, Duyshebaev will start his duties on March 16.
“I am proud to be the coach of the French national team. This has been a long-time dream for me, as the country has a magnificent generation of players. My main task is to bring the team back to victories and regain leading positions, especially against Germany and Denmark,” he stated.
Talant Duyshebaev is an Olympic gold medalist (1992), world champion (1993), as well as a medalist in European and Olympic tournaments, and a winner of the Champions League as both a player and a coach.
In the summer of 2023, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the European Handball Federation (EHF) for his achievements.
