Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Akjol Makhmudov commented on his opponent Nao Kusaka, representing Japan.

The wrestlers will meet today, March 27, at the PWL 11 tournament taking place in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

"Tashkent is one of my favorite cities. The cuisine here is amazing, especially the plov," noted Makhmudov.

He also added that Kusaka is not only an Olympic champion in wrestling but also an outstanding person in life. "Nao is a very kind and decent person. Great achievements come to those who behave honestly both in and out of sports. Kusaka is truly a pleasant and good person," emphasized the Kyrgyzstani.

Regarding the upcoming match, Akjol expressed hope for an interesting bout: "I am curious to see myself from the outside and understand what level I am at. I hope we will show the audience a good fight," he said at the press conference before the tournament.
