The story of the youngest pilot who conquered the world in a light aircraft

A unique event has occurred in the history of aviation: 16-year-old Australian Byron Waller completed a round-the-world flight in a light aircraft, visiting 19 countries and covering about 45,000 kilometers. This was reported by Lenta.ru.

Why did Byron decide to undertake such a challenging journey? His flight not only set a new record but also served as an inspiring message for youth around the world — dreams are achievable, even if they seem unattainable. At the age of 14, Waller was diagnosed with Crohn's disease — a chronic condition that required frequent hospitalizations. Nevertheless, he did not give up on his dream of becoming a pilot and at 15 years old had already flown around Australia.

It is worth noting that Byron began his round-the-world journey on August 9, taking off from Brisbane in a single-engine Sling TSi aircraft. In two months, he conquered 19 countries, crossed oceans and continents, and celebrated his sixteenth birthday in the air over Fiji. His journey concluded on October 15, when he successfully landed at the airport from which he had departed. Now Waller awaits the official ratification of his record, and he has become a symbol for thousands of young people, demonstrating that age and difficulties should not stop anyone on the path to their dreams.
