An important factor in the growth of exports has been the implementation of solutions by the Mongolian government related to the launch of a mechanism for coal sales through exchange trading, which began operating in February 2023. The new scheme has significantly increased the volumes of export deliveries, provided that they are delivered to border checkpoints.
According to the company, in January 2026, revenue from coal exports amounted to $137.8 million with deliveries of 204 million tons of coal to the control points of neighboring countries.
