
Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov noted that Uzbekistan views the rare metals sector not only as a source of income but also as fundamental for "responsible partnership and long-term sustainable development."
After the signing of the memorandum, Landau and Saidov discussed further strategic cooperation between the two countries. As stated on the State Department's website, issues related to expanding economic and trade ties, strengthening energy security, and joint projects that would benefit both sides were discussed.
The USA aims to deepen bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan, including combating illegal migration and developing trade relations. Attention is also focused on enhancing work within the C5+1 platform, which brings together the USA and five Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
