
During the meeting, Tokayev was informed about the progress of the work on the draft of the new Constitution. According to Akorda, Elvira Azimova noted that to date, more than 4,000 responses from citizens have been received through the eGov and e-Otinish portals in support of the new Fundamental Law. Citizens express the opinion that the draft meets modern requirements and the interests of society. Political parties and public associations at both the national and regional levels have also expressed their support for the new Constitution.
The President emphasized the importance of continuing the commission's work in an open format to ensure citizens' access to discussions and the content of the draft. He instructed to carefully analyze all proposals received from experts and the public.
In addition, Azimova reported that the commission will continue to refine individual articles and points of the new Constitution. New commission meetings are scheduled for February 7 and next week.
