According to information provided by the Daily Mail and the parents of students, the shooter who attacked the school in Canada was a transgender teenager. The incident occurred in the library of Tamber Ridge Secondary School located in British Columbia, where 18-year-old Jesse Van Rutselaar, using his mother’s name Jesse Strang, opened fire, resulting in the deaths of eight people, including a teacher and five students.
Jesse began identifying as a woman at the age of 12 and preferred to use the pronouns "she/her." According to police, Van Rutselaar had numerous documented incidents related to mental health issues. According to CTV News, before carrying out the attack, he killed his mother and brother, and then took his own life.
Initially, in the report about the attack, the suspect was described as a woman with chestnut hair in a dress; however, at that time, the identity of the shooter had not yet been established.
