In the Itikawa Zoo, located in Chiba Prefecture, a baby Japanese macaque named Panch was born, but his mother rejected him immediately after birth. The zoo staff took on the responsibility of raising him, and to compensate for the lack of maternal care, they gifted him a soft toy - a plush orangutan, which became his faithful companion.

From Loneliness to Friendship

At first, Panch had difficulty communicating with other monkeys and often stayed on the sidelines. However, a video recently went viral on the internet showing an adult macaque gently hugging Panch, helping him adapt to the group. In response, the baby snuggles up to his new "guardian."

This touching video quickly won the hearts of social media users, who dubbed it "the cutest video of the day."

According to information from the zoo staff, Panch is gradually starting to find common ground with other monkeys, who show him care and friendliness.

Panch's story has touched many, and zoo visitors are coming specifically to see him. People are delighted that after many months of loneliness, Panch has found true friends.

Many commentators note that these tender hugs have become a symbol of positive change in the baby macaque's fate and a rare example of a successful story about rescuing an abandoned animal.
