
The Department of Meteorological and Environmental Analysis shares the weather forecast for March.
In the western aimags, the average air temperature is expected to be close to the long-term average in eastern Zavkhan and northern Bayankhongor. In other areas, the temperature will exceed the average values (see Fig. 1).

As for the central aimags, in the eastern part of Selenge aimag and the northeastern part of Töv aimag, the temperature will be below the long-term averages. In other areas, the temperature is expected to be at the average level (Figure 1). The amount of precipitation in Selenge aimag, the eastern parts of Khuvsgul, Bulgan, and northern Töv will exceed long-term data, while in other areas it will remain at the average level.
In Dornod, the northern part of Khentii, and Sukhbaatar, the average temperature is also forecasted to be below the long-term level (Figure 1). At the same time, it is expected that in most areas of Khentii, Dornod, and northern Sukhbaatar, precipitation will be higher than average, while in other regions the level of precipitation will remain at the average level.
In the Gobi, the average air temperature and amount of precipitation are above the long-term indicators in the regions of Umnugovi, Dundgovi, and the southern part of Dornogovi, while the amount of precipitation there is below average. In other areas, the temperature and amount of precipitation will be close to average values (Figure 1).
